A huge thank you to everyone who braved the weather and made it to this years Holiday Sale. We made $60 in raffle tickets and Hughes& Co will match this. This gives us $120 for Plan Canada to add their contribution taking the total to $720 for ‘Medicine for Mums and Babies’

I have had a number of last minute requests from people yesterday ; so will fulfill any last minute sales during the next few days. Therefore, if you missed purchasing anything please do not hesitate to contact me and I can arrange a time over the next few days for pickup.

I’ve spent the last few months working on my art exhibits for Art in the Garden one of which you can see above.

These concrete houses are a reminder of how precious a home is to all of us …as a safe haven, both in terms of shelter and a sense of place.

As both the artist and the gardener at this event I have been constantly focused on my sense of home and how it is an expression of everything I value. It is where I raised my children,  make my art, and where I held my wedding; but more than that it’s an extension of who I am.

Thank you to everyone who defied the relentless rain this weekend and made it to the Holiday Sale. Once again it was an amazing time spent catching up with wonderful people.

If I missed sending an invitation to anyone this year, please excuse this oversight as I had some computer problems and lost a number of people on my contact list from previous years. Also, thank you for your contribution to this year’s raffle which raised $75. Hughes and Co will contribute the same amount and this $150 will be matched by the government of Canada so that we can contribute $300 to the Canadian Red Cross Refugee Crisis Appeal.

As the weeks race ahead to Fall and then Winter it gets very busy for me with the build up to Christmas. The last year has gone very fast with a lot of important events.  I participated once again in Art in the Garden as well as being a demonstrating artist at Music in the Park. I also spent along time preparing work for the District Foyer Gallery and the North Vancouver City Hall. This exhibition runs until Nov 3rd.

The next date in my calendar is St Thomas Aquinas Christmas Craft Fair  and I really hope to see you there!

I would like to thank everyone who made time to come to this year’s Holiday Sale. It was so much fun and a really joyous and memorable event. Your enthusiasm and encouragement is what makes this time so special for me, and what spurs me on to keep making all year in anticipation of the next year’s sale.

In addition, your contribution to this years raffle for Plan Canada went a long way to making it possible to help build a well for a class and Hughes & Co will add to your contribution so that we can fund two wells.

Hello Everyone

Thanks to everyone who forfeited time this weekend to visit us at the Holiday Gift Sale. Christmas is always a busy time and it was really wonderful to see and visit with so many friends and family this weekend.

As always it was a really great weekend, and once again thank you for all your continuing support and encouragement.

The raffle raised over $100 for The Red Cross Philippines Typhoid Relief Fund which was an added bonus to a remarkable weekend.
